Responsible play

At Planet of Dreams, the whole point is the thrill of the draw, the buzz of a win, and a bit of fun along the way. For the vast majority of our players, that’s exactly what it is. But we know that for some people, play can stop being fun and start causing harm – and we take that seriously.

This page explains how to keep play under control, the tools we give you to do it, and where to turn for free, confidential help if you ever need it.

Playing should always feel like fun

A few simple habits keep it that way:

  • Treat it as entertainment, not income. Money you spend on entries is the cost of taking part – like a ticket to a show. Never think of it as a way to make money.
  • Set a budget and stick to it. Decide what you’re comfortable spending before you start, and don’t go past it.
  • Only ever spend what you can afford to lose. Never use money set aside for rent, bills, food, or anything essential.
  • Never chase a loss. Spending more to “win it back” is how things spiral. If a draw doesn’t go your way, that’s where it ends.
  • Take regular breaks. Step away, do something else, and come back fresh.
  • Keep it in perspective. If play is affecting your mood, your sleep, your relationships, or your finances, it’s time to pause.

You never have to spend a penny to take part

This one matters, so we’ll say it plainly: Planet of Dreams is free to play. You can enter our draws using our free entry route and win exactly the same prizes as anyone else – no purchase, no subscription, no catch. Paid entries and our Play & Earn extras are optional. If you ever feel like you have to spend, that’s a sign to step back.

Taking a break or stepping away

You’re always in control of what you spend – every paid entry is your choice, and you never have to spend anything to keep taking part. If you want to ease off or stop, here are some practical ways to do it:

  • Take a break or close your account. Want to step away for a while, or leave for good? Message our team (see Talk to us below) and we’ll sort it for you – no questions asked.
  • Block access entirely. Software like Gamban lets you block gambling and competition sites across all your devices, and the National Gambling Helpline can help you set up blocks if you’d like a firmer barrier between you and temptation.
  • Turn off marketing. Unsubscribe from our promotional emails and notifications so there’s nothing nudging you back. There’s an unsubscribe link in every marketing email, or just ask us.

You must be 18 or over

Planet of Dreams is strictly for adults – you must be 18 or over to hold an account or take part in any draw. We ask you to confirm your age when you sign up.

If you win, we go further: every winner is fully identity-verified – including their age – before we hand over a prize. No exceptions. That means no one under 18 can ever collect a prize from Planet of Dreams, and we promote that across the site so everyone knows it’s real. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we’ll close it.

If you share a device with anyone under 18, please keep your login details private and use parental controls to stop them accessing the site.

Could play be becoming a problem?

It can creep up quietly. If you’re not sure, these questions are a good gut-check. Be honest with yourself – answering “yes” to even a few is worth paying attention to:

  • Are you spending more than you meant to, or more than you can afford?
  • Have you tried to cut back but found it hard to stop?
  • Do you find yourself chasing losses?
  • Are you borrowing money, or selling things, to keep playing?
  • Have you hidden how much you play or spend from people close to you?
  • Is play getting in the way of work, family, or other things that matter to you?
  • Do you feel anxious, guilty, or low about your play?
  • Are you playing to escape stress, boredom, or difficult feelings?
